Detailed Tour Itinerary

Sapa MountainsDay 1 – Hanoi - Lao Cai
Take the overnight night train to Lao Cai.

Day 2 – Lao Cai- Sapa (B)
Transfer to the spectacular terraced hills and mountains of Sapa. Take a morning walking tour of Sapa, and visit the busy market where Red Dao, Black H’mong and other ethnic minority groups from the surrounding countryside converge to sell their colorful wares. Later in the afternoon, visit the Cat Cat hill tribe village. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 3 –Sapa- (B)
In the morning, enjoy a trek to the rustic Red Dao village of Tha Phin. In the afternoon, trek through the lush Sapa Valley to visit the Black Hmong minority of Lao Chai Village and the Giay minority of Ta Van. Overnight in Sapa.

Day 4 – Sapa - Ethnic Market – Lao Cai - Hanoi (B)
In the early morning, depart for a visit to a colorful local market. The afternoon involves a trek to a village in the area, then back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train.

Day 5 – Hanoi
Arrive in Hanoi early in the morning.
